Madison and gymnastics

Madison was born to be a gymnast. There is no doubt about that. She is doing amazing and after only 4 months in the pre-k advance class she was invited to be part of a higher level team called Hot Shots. She has been waiting for that opportunity and she was dreaming of the possibility of moving up and she finally did. She has been doing amazing and she has wasted no time at all and has done so much more now that she has moved up. She can now do.. pullovers, back hip circles, squat ons on bars, press handstands, handstands, tic tocs (handstand to bridge to bridge kickovers), bridge kickovers, back walkovers, front limbers, cartwheels on beam, cartwheels, round-offs, she is working on RO to Back handsprings and working on front walkovers, working on kips as well. I cannot believe how awesome she is doing and she loves it more than anything. She still has a couple of years before she can compete but we look forward when she can finally do so. Her coaches are amazing and she loves them so much. Kathy has been her coach for almost 2 years and Madison just loves her so much. Kathy and Madison are without a doubt the dinamic duo. She loves her Kathy more than anything and she also says she is gonna marry her handsome son Trey :) Keep up the good work Maddy! You are doing amazing!

Madison is a cheerleader too!

Madison started All Star Cheerleading a couple of months ago. She wanted to compete more than anything and since she cannot compete with gymnastics yet till she is around 7 years old then we decided to let her join the Colorado Elite All Star Cheerleading team. She is loving it and she will be competing for the first time on March 27th and 28th at the Denver Coliseum. She is very excited and all the gymnastics tumbling that she knows have helped her so much with cheerleading as well. Isnt she the cutest little cheerleader?

Can you believe it??! She is 2 years old! Where did time go? She is a ball of energy. So sweet, so funny and she eats like a little vacuum! Crayons, play doh, cookies, haha. She can now count to 10, sing her favorite songs which are Twinkle Twinkle little star, ABC's, Its raining its pouring song, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Yo Gabba Gabba songs, and so many more! She talks like a big girl and she loves to cuddle. She loves gymnastics too but she wants to be a cheerleader also! She loves her sisters and she loves to play!!! She is my sweet little pumpkin and she is a big mommy's girl!

McKenna Taylor

What can I say. I am a proud mommy of 3 girls.. thats right. 3 little girls. McKenna Taylor was born on October 16th, 2009. She was 6 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long. For what the Drs believe she was not 37 weeks as we all thought. It seems that she was in fact 39 weeks and somehow her due date was not calculated right. After a hard pregnancy (not as hard as Melanie's but weekly shots, huge amount of pills and a lot of contractions you cant really call it a walk in the park) she came all naturale (yeah that sucked!) at 4:08 pm. Only 6 minutes after her sister's time of birth (Melanie was born at 4:02 pm.. weird huh?). She is an amazing little baby. She looks so much like Madison although we can still see a lot of Melanie too. She is now 4 and a half months old. She is just the sweetest little girl! I still cannot believe we have 3 daughters!

So I used to keep up with the blog like crazy and while I was pregnant with McKenna I just began to super slack so yeah.. my bad. I apologize. I know this is the best way to keep everybody updated since not everybody has facebook and stuff so here we go.. I will be posting updates on us, the girlies, gymnastics of course and general life stuff. :)

34 weeks already!

I have been slacking quite a bit on the blog. So much going on! But here we are.. 34 weeks and still pregnant. I am in a lot of pain and with constant medications and shots but I am hanging in there. McKenna is doing great and we are so ready to meet her! I had an appt today and I am a little over 1 cm dilated and Dr Hammond said that on October 6th we will stop my medications and let her be born. At the latest she will be here by October 9th. So not too much longer!! Once I hit the 36 week mark she will send me straight to the hospital and we will have this baby. I still cannot believe we are about to have baby.. it feels like we just had Melanie!!.. I cannot wait and mommy, daddy and big sisters are so excited to meet her!!

Madison is on summer break from gymnastics (thankfully it was only a week since she had camp last week). She has been practicing at home every single day and the other day while we were playing in the playroom and watching her do cartwheels she said... Look mommy what I can do!!.. she got on her mat and did a bridge and out of the nowhere she got a bridge kickover! I screamed so loud that our neighbors probably thought we won the lottery.. well this was way better than the lottery haha. She did it with no problem and I kept telling her oh my goodness Maddy when did you learn how to do that?! she kept saying.. right now mommy! haha She was so proud and she kept saying.. look mom now Im just like my big girls! (her best buds level 10 team). She has been doing bridge kickovers but she gets them done with the wedge mat but now she can do them flat on the floor!! Im so proud of her!

I have the most talented bestest friend EVER!!! Kimmi took new pics of the girls and well.. we all know what she does with that camera.. amazing things!!! But my gosh.. this picture made me cry. I am so thankful to have a friend like Kimbo. I am one lucky girl. She took pics of the girls at Palmer Park super nice place and the girls did great! Although I got attacked by fire ants haha. It was so much fun to see her in action and to see my girls in front of her camera. She is just amazing isnt she?? My babies look so beautiful and Kim has a way of making photography look like a piece of cake! How does she do that?? I will never know! I am so thankful that she is there for us to be part of our lives and to capture our best moments in life!... She is also going to be flying to Cali with us to take pictures of my sis and Josh getting married!! I am sooo looking forward to a weekend of family and to a weekend of having Kimmi there. I want to show her off with the family hehe I talk about her so much and they finally get to meet my Kimbo!... its gonna be so much fun hanging out with her in Cali for the weekend. 20 weeks and 5 days Ultrasound

Thats right! More pics! We had an ultrasound yesterday. I will be 21 weeks tomorrow (wednesday). Time sure its flying by! I am starting to have problems again with contractions and preterm labor so I have been put on a very large dose of medications on top of the weekly shots. Everything looks good so far and the baby looks great! Here are some more pics of her little face! She is so cute! I cannot wait to meet our little princess.

We had our 18 weeks Ultrasound on June 8th. On that day we found out our baby is a girl!.. another little princess. Well, that day the printer was broken so we couldnt get any pictures. The tech saved the pictures in the hard drive so we could have them later and well I had an appointment yesterday and she gave us a ton of pics. Here are the pics of our ultrasound. 18 weeks and 5 days! Isnt she adorable? and she definitely looks like her brother and sisters. Same mouth and nose!

Can you believe it?? Look at how big she is now! In about a week my baby will be 17 months old. In the last month she has changed so much. She is talking a bit, climbing on EVERYTHING and just enjoying her new little world. She definitely knows how to push her sister's buttons but she always gives her a hug if she makes her mad haha. That's right! We are having a girl! What can I say. I was so sure it was a boy. I guess boys are not in the Larson's plan. Matt was sad.. not because its a girl but because now its for sure that he will never have the little boy that he wanted. We are just so happy and so grateful that she is healthy and we look forward to raising our 3 precious little girls. I always wanted sisters and now I get to experience having little girls running around the house, playing dress up and fighting over the bathroom and clothes when they get older. Now I can definitely expect daddy to go bald and our bank accounts to be at 0. Planning 3 weddings and paying gymnastics tuitions for 3 will be interesting haha. We cant wait!.. Madison, Melanie and Mckenna!!! I am so excited to have 3 girls. I never thought I would be a mommy of 3 girls and I am so blessed! We will always miss and wonder what life would have been with Matthew but that wasnt in God's plans.. he is giving us the best gift of all.. 3 cute little girls that are healthy and happy! Miss Kathy had the girls do a little bars routine and of course Madison loved it. It seems that the higher she is the more fun it is for her as you can see her face once she jumps to the high bar lol. She loved doing that little routine. She said its just like the big girls. It has been almost a year since she started and its so exciting to see her try new things!!! Here's Maddy's first routine video. Maddy is taking class on tuesdays and wednesday now and today when we walked in the gym Madison got a big surprise. Her girls were practicing too! She was beyond excited to see the whole team! She got lots of hugs from them and she was just the happiest little gymnast. She had class and she got to watch them practice one thing that she loves and after her class was over she got to hang out with them for a bit. She got pictures with them and she gave them lots of hugs. As we walked to the car she told me that she loves them very much and that she wants to be like them one day. She said she is very proud of them and they are HER girls. Maddy is so sweet!! and they sure love her! Next week she is gonna get to wear the same leo that the girls have!.. so wait for some pics very soon.. they will be so cute! She is without a doubt the little team mascot hehe. She wants to be there with them all day. And I am one happy mom to see my little one so happy and I am so proud that she has the coolest girls to look up to, they are amazing gymnasts and amazing friends and role models to Maddy. They sure are a great example for Maddy and she loves them very much! And also, today is Emily's birthday too! Happy birthday Emily! I have been slacking with the preggo pics. But here is the new pic.. 17 weeks and 4 days. I am a lot smaller than I was with Melanie for sure. At the same time I had just had Matthew too so I think that was part of why I was so much bigger. The baby is moving a lot and I am loving my new little belly. Only 7 more days and we will know if inside of my belly we have a Maddox or a Mckenna!.. I cant wait!

Madison is almost 4. Its surreal even saying it out loud. She is definitely not a baby, toddler or anything close. She is a big girl now. She is doing great. Maddy is definitely a ball full of energy. She knows all her numbers, letters, etc. She has been able to read a few things, she can write her name, my name, her dad's name and she is working on her sister's name. She is very smart and very happy little girl. She is doing beyond amazing at gymnastics. Its amazing what she has learned in the last year. On August 4th it will be a year since she started. Miss Kathy is just the most amazing coach I could ask for Maddy. She loves Kathy so much and they make such a good duo. Maddy got a real medal a few weeks ago! Cheryl and Sarah (sarah is an amazing level 8 at Aerials) and Cheryl (Sarah's mom) is the sweetest girl ever!.. they gave me a medal that belongs to Sarah for Madison. How sweet is that. I cannot thank them enough. Kathy and I made a plan of giving it to Maddy when she could do her bridge kickover by herself. Well.. she did it. Kathy asked Maddy to close her eyes and she put the medal on Maddy. Well.. pictures speak for themselves. She was beyond excited. She wears the medal all day at home. Thank you Sarah and Cheryl so much for the medal and thank you Kathy for everything you do for her!! She wants for her birthday a real gymnastics warm up (which we bought already just dont tell her) with jewels and her name on it (pretty fancy) and she wants to wear her real medal for her birthday and she asked her dad for flowers so she can march in to her party hahaha. She is now taking also class with Mr Zac. Madison loves Mr Zac (he is another team coach for level 8), once Maddy starts advance she will have Zac one day and Kathy the other.. so now she has both coaches.. Kathy on wednesday and Zac on tuesday. She loves it.

She is also done with school!.. she goes back to preschool on September 4th. We are looking forward summer and once she goes back to preschool she will be in the butterfly class. She is so excited! Thats it for updates on Maddy. She is so cute and she is getting so big!

Trip to California in 13 days!

There are days in our lives where happiness is all you get from those days.. one of those days is approching.. Renee's wedding. I cannot even tell my sis how happy I am. Growing up with brothers I only wished I had a sister to hang out with.. and my wish came true 9 years ago when I started dating Matt. Renee has become such a big part of my life that I dont see my life without her. I am so lucky to have her. She met the sweetest guy and we couldnt be happier to welcome him to the family. Josh is definitely Renee's prince charming except with a motorcycle instead of a horse hehe. In about 13 days Melanie, Madison and I will be flying to California to celebrate Renee's Bridal Shower. I am so happy to spend some time with all of my girls. Madison is beyond excited to see Nana and Pops and all of our family. She is packing up her leotards to show Auntie Cheryl her new moves. We are so excited!

Well in 2 days. I cant believe my little baby is 16 months old. It seems like it was yesterday when she was born and now she is a cute little toddler. She is now walking like a champ. All over the place and climbing on everything. Only 3 weeks ago she was still wobbling and now I find myself bringing her down from chairs, tables, couches, etc. She seems to be following her sister's steps and Melanie loves gymnastics! Maddy had a private class with Kathy and Melanie and I were in the gym for a bit watching Maddy. Melanie was all over the place hehe. Everytime I pick Maddy up after gymnastics class Melanie wants to go in the gym and do gymnastics too. She is officially going to start gymnastics with mommy (the mommy and me class) at Aerials on August 7th. I can't wait to take her too! She is full of energy! 16 months already! ahhhhh!

17 weeks

I cant believe we are almost half way there. Time is going by so fast. I started my 17P shots (progesterone shots) last week. It was not fun but necessary so I am happy that there is something I can do to keep this baby in and not have any preterm labor problems like I had with Melanie. Dr Hammond does such a great job helping us thru the pregnancy and making sure we are ok. We had an ultrasound last week and everything looks good, lots of fluid and baby moving around and happy. We couldnt find out that day what we are having but I thought I saw boy parts but you never know. We have our big U/S on June 8th at 9:30 am. I cannot wait. I want to see the baby, make sure he/she is ok and find out if we are having a Maddox or a Mckenna. I will update more after our ultrasound. We are so excited!

Almost 15 weeks

Gosh time is flying by! It feels like it was yesterday when my friend Sarah found out she was pregnant.. now she is due any minute!! then it feels like it was yesterday when my friend Kim found out she was pregnant and now she is 28 weeks.. and me.. I am still not over the shock of being pregnant again and Im almost 15 weeks pregnant. What a blessing!!! Im so excited that I cannot even say enough how happy we are. In 3 more weeks and a few days we will find out what this baby is, the million dollars question. I have no idea to be honest. Usually with all of our kids I had an idea or a feeling of what the gender was, but not this time. I have no idea. So we will have to wait and find out! All we want is a healthy baby. I have been feeling great! No problems at all. I am just enjoying it as much as I can because this is for sure our last baby. In about a week I will be starting my progesterone shots. Not too excited about it I have to say because lets be honest. Who likes to get shots every week for 20 weeks??... yeah thats what I thought haha but they are necessary to help avoid preterm labor like we had with Melanie. I will be getting them once a week for 20 weeks. After 36 weeks then our dr wont stop labor. I cannot wait to see our little family become bigger! lets admit it a family of 5 is big haha and we couldnt be happier. Matt is still hoping for a boy so all the mommies out there that have a boy... send some blue dust our way. My poor husband is so outnumbered haha. Anyways, thats the pregnant update! Everything is doing great and I am just anxious to feel the baby move!! Its funny how even tho this is my 4th pregnancy the excitement is the same. I cant wait. I will update soon with new pics of the baby if I get another U/S in between now and the big U/S if not then we will update after our big U/S! Not too much longer!

We are back!!

What can I say!! Our Disney Cruise was unbelievable!... We were gone from April 24th thru May 2nd.. the best days of our lives. We left to Denver on April 24th and of course Melanie got sick, she spent the night with 102-103 fever and we were worried sick. We were able to get the fever down and we made it to Florida the next day. We got to Orlando around 4 pm and checked in in our hotel. The hotel was actually in the airport! yes... inside the airport. You could see security checkpoint from our room LOL.. it was pretty cool. We had to take Melanie to an urgent care clinic at the Airport and she had a major ear infection but after a shot of antibiotics and a dose of more antibiotics she was much better. We spent the night there and the next day bright and early off we went to Port Canaveral!! Our Disney Cruise bus took us there and it was so much fun. Madison was beyond excited. She finally got to see the Disney Magic ship and what a sight! She couldnt stop screaming. From the moment we got there all the characters started to show up while we waited at the terminal to board. She got to see Mickey and Goofy! We got pictures taken right when we went in the ship and the coolest part was that there was a crew at the entrance of the ship.. they asked each family for their name and as soon as you walked in the ship they said over the mic.. Welcome the Larson Family and everybody would clap hahaha Maddy thought it was the coolest thing. There were so many amazing things in the ship, the food, the horn.. hahaha yes.. that was my favorite part. The horn of the ship played When you Wish Upon a Star!! I thought it was the coolest thing ever. We spent the whole week together, swimming, eating, having fun and not worried about anything but our vacation. The girls got over 30 autographs with the characters, Maddy got to be in stage with Mickey Mouse, we met Captain Jack Sparrow (mommy's favorite haha), we went to beautiful islands, we met wonderful people and we decided since we are now part of the Castaway Club which is a club only for people that have taken Disney Cruises before.. that we will be booking another one in a couple of years or so. Matt loved it so much that he wants to go back. The girls cannot keep talking about it and actually we were all teary when we had to leave! What an experience. The shows, the food, the crew, the people we met, it was amazing. Castaway Cay Disney's private island is beyond what we expected. The sand was like baby powder and the water was so clear that Maddy and I spent most of the time looking at starfish and fish under water swimming by our feet. We saw the Flying Dutchman!! the real ship.. and we got to see Jack Sparrow and take pics with him by the ship. I cannot wait to go back.. and so is Matt. He loved it so much that I cannot even explain how happy and relaxed he was while we were there. He actually loved seeing Mickey Mouse over and over and over again. I made a slideshow with the pictures of our trip. There is so much to tell that I wont even get close to finishing our story in this post. I will update our Disney Cruise blog by day so I can tell you all about it. Definitely this was the most amazing vacation of our lives and we are so blessed to be able to do it... we will definitely be back.. I have the feeling that Disney Cruises as well as Disneyland are going to become part of the Larson's lifestyle haha we wish we could do it every year haha but yeah.. they are not cheap.. so we are off to save up to do it again in a very near future. And of course.. as Mickey Mouse says... Till we meet again! See ya real soon Mickey!!

12 weeks ultrasound

We had our 1st trimester screening today! We had an ultrasound to check for any abnormalities, the baby looks perfect! Very healthy and very active. The heartbeat was 151. We are starting on progesterone shots to help my uterus relax so I dont go into preterm labor. I will be getting 1 shot per week till I'm 36 weeks... ouch. But I am doing everything I can to keep this baby in and go thru this pregnancy as smoothly as I can. Heres the picture of our little bean at 12 weeks and 1 day. The baby is measuring 3 days bigger but they didnt change my due date. Only 6 more weeks till we find out what it is!

Our hearts ache

Today we received very devastating news. Our friend Stacy lost her little daughter yesterday due to her constant battles with seizures. I met Stacy when I was pregnant with Madison. Amelia was only 1 day older than Maddy. Amelia battled against seizures most of her life and yesterday her battle was over. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain that Stacy, Lou and her little sister Lily must be going thru. It hits very close to home. Losing a child is a pain that no parent should ever have to go thru. Today Amelia rests in peace with God free of pain. I always ask God... why do children have to die? Its a question that I have in my heart always. Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to Amelia's family and I pray that she is now safe and happy.

God bless you Amelia today and always.. you will be terribly missed. We love you so very much. Rest in peace sweet little Amelia (August 14, 2005- April 20th, 2009)

A gymnastics update

I figured it was time for a new update. Well in July it will be 1 year since Madison started. And what can I say. I signed her up because I did gymnastics but the girl made the sport of her own. She is now 100% gymnast. She has had Kathy as her coach and she couldnt be happier. Maddy loves her so much. She is going twice a week and it seems not enough for her but for now thats what as much as we want her to do because we dont want to burn her out. As she gets older she will be going more and more so for now 2 days a week is a good amount of time. We are also doing a few private classes with Kathy and Madison loves it. She loves having one on one time with her Kaffffffy as she calls her. She recently got a medal!! Thanks to Cheryl and Sarah (Sarah is a level 8!!) who were so sweet to give Madison a medal from Sarah's medal stash. Kathy saved it for Maddy till she could get her bridge kickover by herself. She did it and you should have seen her face.. priceless!. Starting the next school year she will be in advance preschool gymnastics. Im very excited to see her in that class. The classes will be mondays and wednesdays. We kept her in preschool tuesdays and thursdays so she can be in the advance class. She has improved so much and she definitely has talent for it. She can now do.. cartwheels, pullovers on bars, she can go up the rope, bridges, back tucks in the harness without holding on, handstand to bridge, bridge kickovers, backroll, front roll on the beam, she is working on hip back circles, handstands and lots of new things. I never thought this whole gymnastics thing with Maddy would take a life of its own but it did. And she is definitely meant to be at the gym. She loves it more than anything. Thats the update! Melanie finally took some steps! I couldnt believe my eyes. We were at gymnastics watching Maddy and she has been able to stand up for a while without holding on to anything but she didnt seem interested to take steps. Well as I am watching Maddy she was standing in front of me and I had her snacks.. well she was going to get them no matter what! So she started walking towards me.. tiny little steps but she got to where she wanted! How ironic haha... walking for the first time at gymnastics.. I wonder if she is trying to tell me something hahaha. I am so excited. She has been taking more and more steps now. I actually enjoyed not having a walking baby quite yet. As you all know I never got the little mellow baby stage. Madison went straight to walking at such early age that I was on the go from the very beginning. I have enjoyed so much having Melanie just crawl and play with me without me chasing her around haha and now she is ready to walk. I am so proud of her! Here's is a little video. She walked more before I took that video but of course.. when you want them to walk for you so you can show it to everybody they wont do it. Today 2 years ago our son Matthew was born and went to heaven. It has been a long road of grieving and I think it will never end. Its hard to spend a birthday so very special without him. I woke up crying this morning after dreaming about him. It felt so real.. it felt like he was here. The next thing I knew Matt woke me up, hugged me and cried with me. I looked at my phone and it was 6:56 am.... believe it or not.. same exact time of his birth. I miss him more than words can say. Its amazing how fast time goes by. We did balloons for him and a little birthday cake. My heart aches so much and it hurts so much but I know that I need to do this for him, for me, for Matt and for the girls. I know Matthew would not wanna see his mommy, daddy or sisters sad but its so hard to think that we are all here, that we do things as a family, so much to see, so much to do and he was left behind. He is missing on so many things but I know he is in a better place... and one thing that makes me very happy is that I know my daddy is watching over him and taking care of his grandson. I know they are both happy and they are watching over us. To my sweet little boy... Happy Birthday my little buddy... we miss you more than words can say and one day we will be all together again. We love you with all of our hearts and we miss you everyday...

And our little Matthew's birthday will be here. April 15th is a day that I fear but a day that I want nothing more but celebrate. I cant believe that it has been 2 years since he went to heaven. I had my OB appointment on tuesday. It went great. The doctor couldnt pick up the baby's heartbeat so she did an U/S to check on our little bean. Everything looks great! The baby was sucking on his/her toes! it was so funny. I cannot wait to know what it is. Matt and I just want our baby to be healthy and happy. I am still in shock that we are pregnant again. I am so excited to have the blessing to have a new baby. Life is just amazing. Only 2 more weeks and we will have our first trimester screening ultrasound! I cant wait! Keep your prayers coming for a healthy baby.. thats all we want is for our baby to be ok. Isnt our little bean so cute? hehe Looks like a little alien. Here's the picture of the U/S. My little princess is such a big girl now. Today I took her in to get her first real big girl haircut. I was so nervous because she needed her bangs trimmed and she does move a lot but she did awesome! She actually liked getting a haircut. Our super cool nephew E Bean is 11!! I cannot believe it. Time goes by so fast. We got to spend his birthday with him yesterday. He is so grown up now!! He is a boy scout and a swimmer. 9 weeks pregnant

Wow time is going super fast. I am already 9 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow. I will not be having any ultrasounds till June 8th which makes me actually very nervous. As you all know we didnt have any ultrasounds with Matthew and at the end we found out he wasnt going to make it at our "big ultrasound" I guess now I am just leaving it up to God. God only knows I cannot take another loss and I am sure this baby is going to be just fine. We have our ultrasound on June 8th. 2 months to go. Its going to be so hard waiting till then! So far I am feeling great. No major sickness or issues. I figured I would be more sick by now but I am actually feeling great. I havent really gotten a belly (you would think that this is my 4th baby I would have a huge belly by now) but I am actually just barely starting to get one. I cant wait to know what we are having! but most of all to know that our baby is healthy and happy. I am sure this baby is a boy. I just know it. I have my next appt on April 7th. I will update then and I will post a belly pic too. I am kind of waiting to actually have a little bit of a belly to show otherwise I am just gonna be showing my fat haha.

State Meet 2009

What can I say.. Madison just had the time of her life. Our whole day was just amazing. You should have seen Maddy getting ready. She had me do her hair just the way the girls wear it. We did a ponytail and I bought her a curling iron so I curled her pony tail. We put so much glitter and she had her black and red ribbons. It was just so cute. She had her Aerials team leo on and we were on our way. She was so cute and so anxious to see her friends. She had the time of her life. She got to see all of her friends... she met their families and she was just quite the entretainment. She got to sit with Marla, Becca, the team, she hung out with Kathy, it was so much fun!! I took my new camera and honestly I love that thing!! I got the pics that I wanted. So many people told me that they just think is so amazing how much she loves gymnastics even tho she is only 3. I think so too. Victoria and Maddy got to hang out and Maddy even got pics with her and the trophy. Maddy stood on first place and I was about to cry. I know one day she will get there and we will be cheering our little princess on. She woke up this morning talking about her day and I am so happy she got to experience the State Meet! Congrats to Colorado Aerials Level 10!!! State Champs 2009!

Soooo Madison is beyond excited. On Sunday she will be going to the State gymnastics meet! She is finally gonna get to see her Toria (Victoria), Britnee, Sharaya, Holly, Kirsten and Maggie! She is so flipping excited. She has been anxiously waiting to see them and she finally gets to do that. She is already planning what leo to wear although the poor thing thinks that she is competing with them lol. It seems like just yesterday when Maddy was learning what a pullover is. Now she can do it all by herself with no problem! I have been wanting to take a video of her pullovers but I always forget the camera, or the battery dies, etc. But here it is. They worked with Martha today too and Miss Kathy. She loved having Martha in class with her! She is also the GK rep and she coached Maddy's class today with Miss Kathy. It was so much fun!. We are trying to figure out what are we gonna do with Maddy for summer time. Miss Kathy is not going to be giving the monday class only the wednesday so Maddy will go on wednesdays with Kathy but we are not sure the rest of the week and Maddy doesnt want to stop going twice a week in fact she asked me for 3 times a week lol. Mr Zach told me that he has a class during summer time so he said that we can see what we can do about Maddy going on that class for the summer. So we'll see what we do. Once she goes to advance she will have Zac and Kathy as coaches so I think it might be a good idea to start her with Zac too. I asked her if she wanted to try swimming and she said no that thats for boys, then I asked her if she wanted to do soccer and she said thats for boys, and then I asked her if she wants to do cheerleading and she said.. Do they do gymnastics?? so I guess we will be doing gymnastics all week during summer time haha.

Nothing better than a super nice day outside. As you can see thanks to our lovely Colorado weather our lawn is fried. Matt has been working on it so hopefully once spring is here (well actually here) the grass will look nice and green. Maddy loved doing gymnastics outside. How much Madison likes gymnastics well.. let me just put it this way. She decided to do yard work and plant some new flower seeds with her leotard on. I asked her a million times to go get change but all she kept saying was that Shawn Johnson wears her leotard all day too. She is just so funny. She actually did really good and she didnt get dirty at all. She had a good time with daddy and showing off her leotard and cartwheels to the neighbors. Im telling you.. what am I gonna do with her? hehehe she sure keeps us busy.

Ketchup or ice cream

We took the girls out for dinner and we were just amazed how much Melanie enjoys food.. any food! She ate a whole cup of ketchup and then she decided to go ahead and eat ice cream. It was hilarious to see eat ketchup. She kept dipping her fries, straw, fingers, corn dog, and everything she could find till she finished that ketchup. And of course what kid can resist ice cream? She ended up covered in ice cream from head to toe that I had to pretty much wash her in the bathroom at the restaurant.. but it was so worth it! she had a blast and we had a blast too watching her eat lol

Melanie is finally standing on her own! She has been standing on everything and walking holding on to the furniture for the longest time now but no signs of walking at all, which trust me I am in no rush whatsoever. After Madison's lets walk at 9 months experience I really just love to enjoy Melanie being so little and just taking her sweet time to be walking because then of course.. we will be chasing her everywhere. But of course sometimes I get the itch of her walking so she can play with Maddy outside and stuff and of course.. so she can go to the mommy and me gymnastics class at Aerials! So today after all this time while we were watching Madison at gymnastics class Melanie decided she was just gonna stand on her own without holding on to anything most of the time we were there! It was so awesome to see her standing on her own like a big girl. She loved getting cheers while she was doing it lol the moms at gymnastics they kept saying.. Go Melanie! We'll see if she decides to give walking a try anytime soon!

I just posted a very interesting article about what it takes to be a gymnastics parent.. it takes a lot. After reading that article some people might think.. wow gymnastics sucks. But after reading it and taking Madison to gymnastics today I realized that we are in for the ride 100% if she wants to continue moving up. She had a good class today, they learned new elements and she showed off with her dad. I definitely have to say that we will be helping Maddy along the way and if this is what she wants to do then we will do whatever we can to help her succeed. And next week Maddy will be going to watch the State meet!

And we are leaving on our Disney Cruise! We are just beyond anxious to go. We have waited almost 9 months from the time we booked it and now we just wanna leave! We leave for Orlando, FL on April 24th. And we will be spending the night in Orlando and our cruise leaves the next day. We have most of the stuff and paperwork we need done. We just gotta do a little bit more shopping for the cruise but not a lot. We are very blessed to be able to take our girls in such an amazing vacation. We will continue to update on our planning and our countdown till we leave! Mickey Mouse and the Caribbean.. here we come!

Meet our gummi bear

We had our ultrasound today! We have a cute healthy little gummi bear.. he/she is 4 mm long with a strong heartbeat at 121! So little! Everything looks great and Dr Hammond is just so happy to have us back. We are going to start with our 4 week checkups. I am 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant and we are due November 4th. Our big U/S is scheduled for June 8th so now the countdown begins to know what we are having.. the little gummi bear looks to me like a BOY! hehehe. Meet our little bean!

Maddy Johnson in Dancing with the Stars

So as most of you know Shawn Johnson is part of the cast for Dancing With the Stars.. well you can only imagine what Maddy said about that. She waited a whole month from the time she found out to actually be able to see her dance. I bought snacks for us to spend the evening watching Shawn and Madison just couldnt wait. Right before the show started she got her outfit ready (a Shawn johnson leotard and a tutu) because she said that was her Dancing with the Stars outfit. Once the show came on and they annouce Shawn she started screaming so loud and jumping that her eyes were all teary.. I couldnt stop laughing. It was so funny to see her scream like that. She waited patiently the whole show till Shawn came on. Maddy danced right along with her and she was just so happy. We called to vote for Shawn!! Who by the way is in second place right now! So the other day I talked to Toria (Victoria) she is a level 10 and Maddy's best bud from gymnastics. She is an amazing gymnast and Madison just loves her so much. I was chatting with her and I mentioned to her that Madison dreams for a medal. She told me that she has so many medals that she is going to give Maddy a real gymnastics medal! I was so happy because I know how much Madison wants one and obviously she cant compete yet because she is just too little. Well I talked to Kathy today and she said that maybe what we should do is save the medal and give it to Maddy when she gets a her bridge kickover without Kathy standing by her. She said that it will give Maddy something to work for and to look forward to. I told her I think its a great idea! I can only see Maddy feeling so special getting a real medal because of something that she accomplished herself. Kathy said today that Maddy is about to get a few elements that she has been trying to do and she is almost there. So definitely the medal will give her a sense of accomplishment and she is just gonna be so happy. I know Madison is not the best gymnast out there but she is talented and she is good at it and her passion for the sport is just so amazing and I know she will accomplish what she puts her heart on. I want to thank everybody who is always supporting her and cheering her up. She just truly loves it and I always tell people.. you just never know!! some people think that she is too little and gymnastics shouldnt be such a big deal but it is a big deal for her and I want her to know that she can be whatever she wants to be.. including the next Shawn Johnson lol. I promise I will take pics when she finally gets that medal that she wants so bad! hehe I cant wait!

Children's Museum in Denver

I took the girls to the Childrens Museum in Denver today. It was a nice day and we decided to do something fun together. They absolutely loved spending time with mommy and going to play. It was so much fun to see Melanie just crawl all over the place discovering everything there was to see. She played till she fell asleep and Madison just loved showing her all the different things that the museum has. My little baby looks so much older now! She is 13 months old and now she has a full head of hair with her cute little pigtails.. she got so many compliments about her pigtails hehe. Here are some pics of our day.

They sure keep us busy! We spent all day saturday just playing and hanging out at home. Its great to see how much they interact with each other now and how many things Melanie has learned. Maddy had the day of her life.. Miss Kathy gave Maddy a private class today. She had the whole gym for herself and best of all she had Miss Kathy just for her! It was one of the best things that we have done for Maddy. She got to try new things that they have never done before and she got to talk and practice gymnastics with Miss Kathy. She did amazing. She finally got her bridge kickover by herself and she got a WOW card!! I really want to thank you Miss Kathy for giving Maddy so many opportunities and for letting her have some time just with you. Madison got to meet Bella (Kathy's new puppy) and she even got a picture with her!. She is the cutest puppy ever! I will post lots of videos soon of her class with Miss Kathy. It was so much fun!

So last night after Matt got home Maddy said she wanted to show us her routines so she made us sit down and watch her.. I grabbed the new camera that Matt bought me because I figured that this was a good opportunity to get gymnastics pics on time hehe. She was so funny. She made sure she had a leotard on, that she did her salute before she started, and that she got the right moves like her friends from the team. Also we were a little surprised that she attempted a press handstand! lol Matt and I just looked at each other asking how she knew what a press handstand was hehe. I love my girls so much. They just make my life so wonderful. They have such a good time together and now that Melanie is a lot older Maddy thinks her sister is the coolest toy of the bunch lol. I bought Maddy some glitter color wonder paper and they had a blast with it. And then of course they played when daddy got home so Matt and I just sat by the stairs watching our little ones play. The coolest thing is that both of us realized that now we are adding another one to the bunch and it will be so much fun!! 3 kids is just really a good number for us. For a while now I have been dying to get a nicer camera.. not to do anything fancy but so I can get nicer pics and be able to capture exactly the moment that I wanna take a pic of. With my kids no camera is fast enough lol. Usually they do something and right when I take the pic they are done. So my sis has a Canon camera that I absolutely love and everytime she comes to see us I just love the pics it takes and I usually just take it so I can play with it. Well we found a deal on Ebay that we just couldnt believe so my lovely husband bought it for me! Thank you Mattchew! I have been playing with it for a couple of days now and even tho I dont really know what the heck am I doing I manage to get a few pics and I am very happy!. So today I asked Miss Kathy if I could go in the gym and take a video of Maddy doing trampoline. I was finally able to get a close up of her doing back tucks! It was great seeing her having such a good time. Miss Kathy told Maddy that Maggie was watching her and on the last back tuck she kept looking back to see where was Maggie and she did it all funky hahaha. She was just making sure Maggie was watching her. And I also found out that Miss Kathy calls them Fliparoonies hahaha when they do them in the air. lol I gotta remember that because it sounds so funny! Fliparoonies hehe.

What can I say... there are 5 girls that Maddy absolutely adores and looks up to. Maggie, Sharaya, Victoria, Kirsten and Britnee. They are the level 10 team of Colorado Aerials.. their coach is also Miss Kathy. Well Maddy asks me for the every single day and today she had the awesome surprise that Maggie was training while Maddy was in class! She got the surprise of her life. She even stopped doing gymnastics because she was watching Maggie like a hawk. At the end of class her and Maggie got to get stamps together (hehe funny thing is that Maggie is 16) haha but she still got stamps with Maddy! She left gymnastics so happy! Congrats to the team! They got 1st at their meet in Idaho! We cannot wait to hear the results for the meet this weekend in Florida!

So a little over a week or so we decided to attempt pigtails on Melanie.. I didnt realize how much hair my kid has! Her pigtails are as full as Maddy's were when she was 2 and a half years old! She got full pigtails but she hated them. Once they were up she was fine but doing her hair was like torture for Melanie.. she screamed her head off. She looks so cute and so girly. Thats right! The Larson family is happy to announce that we will be having a baby! We are due in October. The exact due date is to be determined on thrusday by our dr. We are very excited and shocked of course but very happy that we will be having a little baby sister or baby brother for Madison, Matthew and Melanie! What a blessing!

So Madison started gymnastics twice a week now! (of course double tuition) but so worth it! She is really happy to be there more than once a week and trust me.. she has learned so much going twice a week! She has been doing great. She finally got her pullover on bar and her back tuck without holding on to the harness all by herself! She has been trying for weeks to get her pullover and she finally got it! She is just the happiest shrimp when she is at gymnastics and we are very grateful with Miss Kathy because her monday class was full! and she added Maddy to her class so she can be in her class. Heres a pic that we took the other day with Miss Kathy and her wednesday morning class. Arent they all so cute!!!??? Maddy loves her friends. I am so happy she has got to meet so many new friends and she has such an amazing time with them.

She is doing great! Her ped said that Melanie is just growing and learning great! Even tho she was a preemie she has been able to catch up with babies her age. She isnt walking yet and for what I can see she has no rush (thank goodness) so she will when she is ready. She still has 2 teeth (the other 2 are stuck and wont come out) so she is my little tiny baby. She had 5 shots (poor thing) but she is doing wonderful! Way to go sweetie pie!

Maddy loves her new costume!! She is going to be Lilo for the Cruise. She just loves Lilo and Stitch so much so she decided she wanted to be Lilo. She has been wearing the costume non stop. We only have a little bit over 3 months before we embark on the trip of a lifetime and I cannot wait to see what Madison and Melanie are going to think of such an amazing experience. Here's an update! Madison is back in gymnastics after 2 long weeks of Christmas break.. She was desperate to come back. She went to her class wearing her new Shawn Johnson leo, she took her Shawn Johson doll, etc... she was all ready for class. She had a great class! She is gaining so much speed when she is on the harness doing full back tucks! And she is now doing them in the air. Kathy is trying to see if Maddy will do them without holding on to the harness so hopefully soon she will be able to! She is doing great, we paid for her tuition for the this new session and for next term we will be doing private lessons twice a month with coach Kathy, and if everything goes like Kathy is planning on she will be starting on advance by next fall!. Heres a new video of our little gymnast. She is progressing so much at what she is learning!

Reyes Magos! (3 Kings Day)

Every year in Mexico we have the tradition of the 3 Kings Day (Reyes Magos in spanish). Since we were kids we waited anxiously for them to bring presents on the morning of January 6th. I have always encourage my children to be mexican like I am. Even tho we live in US our kids have another heritage that I want them to be proud of. There are so many judgements about how life in Mexico is and all I can say is.. its wonderful. I couldnt be any more proud of being who I am. Madison and Melanie get to have so many more traditions like I did when I was little. Maddy loves 3 Kings day and she had a blast this year sharing with her little sister that special day. They left their shoe the night before and the 3 Kings came while they were sleeping and left a little gift for them. Here are the pics..

So this kiddo is gonna keep us busy. LOL She is definitely a gymnastics girl, she loves ballet (although she says she gets bored a little bit) I guess ballet is too mellow for her haha, and now she wants to be a cheerleader too. Santa brought her a cheerleader costume and mommy got a cheerleader game for the Wii so this was the result. Did you check out the moves?? She is actually pretty good at it! She even says... READY OK! now haha. After her ballet recital on June 12th we are gonna stop going to ballet and she is gonna try cheerleading lessons so that, preschool and gymnastics she will be one busy woman and I will be well.. a taxi driver haha.

Goodbye 2008 and Welcome 2009! Its a brand new year and I cannot wait to see what the new year is going to bring. I am sure not another baby tho so dont get too excited haha. We are so excited about the new things that are coming this year. Our cruise!! we will be going on a trip of a lifetime in April to our Disney Cruise, Madison will turn 4 this year and she will be joining the advance gymnastics team!, she is also going to start Cheerleading in July and she will have her first ballet recital on June 12th. Melanie will be a toddler and she will be walking at some point! And Matt and I as happy as we can be working on our house, our finances (not so excited about that lol) and just enjoying our girls together. We wish you an amazing year and all of our love! My baby is 11 months! She will be 1 in a month! I cannot believe how fast this year went by. We are getting so ready for her birthday party. She is just the most amazing baby ever. She is so happy that I cannot believe it. She loves saying mamma, dadda, hi, baba and she loves her sissy but she is definitely a mommy's girl. She is crawling everywhere, cruising around the furniture, going up the stairs, playing, laughing, etc. She is amazing! She is our little miracle and I just love her so very much. My girls are my life and I love to see how much they love each other. We love you Meuuuanie!! Almost time for your 1st birthday!
